The Elf On The Shelf
You are all probably wondering why I allow this freaky looking Christmas decoration in my house. Looks like it came right out of the 60's. I will tell you why. This is Elfie, our family elf.
Brittyn has seen been to a few a her friends homes with in the last couple weeks and has seen there Elf's!! This is major!! She was so into it and could not wrap her thoughts around it. Well, she was told the once you see someones elf you too will receive one....2 days later. Ours was more like a week and a half. Due to all the snow it was so hard for Elfie to get here from the North Pole. (The UPS.) Today was that oh so glorious day! Her sweet little face was so priceless. She came home from school and there was a Christmas gift left on our porch addressed to all of us. I let her open it and in side was the book. "Mom...he's here. We have to find him!" (He hides.) So, Elfie is what we have named him and he sits way up high and flies back to Santa every night to let him know how the kids have been that day! You can't touch him or he will lose his magic. Brilliant!!! So, Elfie is our new family tradition. Yes, he for sure could be cuter, but he works!

Such a cute idea whoever invented it. I had heard of it but didn't know what it was. Cute gingerbread houses too! I'm reading the Christmas sweater right now, it's good too! I love Glenn Beck.
that is so cute! I can't wait to do stuff like that with my kids.
Very cute idea. Does it make them behave better?
Jana- That is the funniest thing! That is the kind of stuff your kids love. I am surprised that you didn't tell me that an elf lives at your house!!! You should have named him Buddy!
