My Guy

To all those who really know my husband you know him to be a smart ass...a hard worker...a dedicate father...extremely silly...but also a man with a big heart for service. He is always the first one there to help out someone in need. He takes great care of his ageing grandmother and his single mother. Always there with his truck and muscle to help family move. Driving hours south to help his sister with car trouble. Helping someone finish their basement. Donating money to schools and 100's of dollars to a sick cousins child. What prompts this post is yesterday morning, a Saturday that he was not working, around 6:00am we heard some not very smart person in a sports car (to say it nicely) revving and revving his engine. He was stuck...it snowed a good foot or more and the plows had not been out yet. So, the negative side to living off the round about we get to hear these kind of things. My sweet hubby pulls on clothes gets in his truck and pulls this man out of the snow but then goes a step further because with all the revving he had broke something in his car...transmission maybe. T pulled this man and his car all the way back to his house. Which was a few neighborhoods away. When he crawled  back into bed with me freezing cold and soaking wet my thought was "dang I am lucky!"
The reason I put this on here is because one day I want my kids to follow and know what a great heart their dad has! Today it's not a big deal to them but to me it surely is!! Thanks T for being such a great man and for all the good deeds. You are a wonderful example to me and the kids!! I Love you to pieces!

Undies!!

My Beau lives in his undies...not underwear "undies" that's what he calls them. If you have been to my house you know this to be true...you will get greeted at the door by him in his undies! Every time we leave the house no matter where or how long we have been gone he talks on the way home about "I get naked?" I hear that phrase a dozen or more times a day. Once in the door he is stripping down into them...with in seconds! This kids cracks me up all day long. I dress him a dozen times a day. Its  not just the whole new undies phase either. He did it in his diapers. Strange funny kid!! Everyone says Jana what do you wear at home? I swear I don't run around in my undies! They all have the corks and this is one of his!!

Today while helping Brittyn at the kitchen counter Beau was standing in the chair so I simply said "Beau sit on your pockets" easy enough request and I got back loudly "I don't have pockets I have undies!" I'll Brittyn and I could do was giggle because yes it was the truth!

Vision was given the opportunity to perform during half time at the Flash Game this last Friday night. First of all it was a way fun cheap evening for my family. If you have not been to a Flash game and enjoy basketball you should go!! Second...they did amazing!! Love this girl...she has started to push her self and enjoy it! Brittyn said all she needed was a pointy hat and she would be a traffic cone...the cutest one I've ever seen!Fantastic job to all the dancer!

Happy Valentines!

Happy Valentines day!
A little late...yes! But I love you all!

Granddaughter party...once again!

Love these women with all my heart! T has an amazing family!! Our annual granddaughter party was a little different this year. The Prince clan was in need of some service...and that we gave. Trent's cousins 11 year old step daughter Taylor was diagnosed with what is called Rhabdomyosarcoma a form of caner of the soft tissue. So a fund raiser dinner and magic show was put together by T's couisn Sherry and we were all there to help out and serve the hundreds that came through to support them. What a neat opportunity it was to show my sweet kids some service for those we love and those who are in need!! They were able to raise over $3400 to help her family out with expenses. We truly deeply with all our hearts wish this amazingly strong young lady the best of luck with such a battle a head!
Here are just a few random pictures of the night...unfortunately Taylor was not able to make it herself as she was home sick from a chemotherapy treatment she had had the day before!

Until the next one...

Little brains....

While driving in the car this afternoon we past a truck with a tall ladder up against a building...my Beau (3yrs old) pipes up and say's "ooo...his getting a cat." Haha...I love little brains! It amazes me all the time at what they think of and what come out of their little mouths!

Class pets....

Robbie had his class pets home over a weekend. They each get to take a turn. Yay...hermit crabs! I have a bad history with these things...I killed Brittyn's hermits a few years back on totally accident. She and T will never let me live it down. Fun for him though. They kids loved it!

Beau the big boy!!

FINALLY!!! This cute kid is 3 1/2 and just now has been potty trained! I have tried with this kid for about a year on and off and I learned my lesson with Robbie. They will do it when they are ready...pushing this kid was never a option. He is a hard as a rock. His pre-school allowed diapers. (Well...he longer fit into diapers because he is so big I was buying good nights! Urgh!) Just one thing after another with him. Finally I had just had the changing of big boy poop! Really!! It took 3 days tops!! Once we found something that gave him a little incentive (tattoos) he rocked it!!  He had them up and down each arm, legs and on to his chest. Cute kid! Thank heavens! He wanted it and we both stuck to it.
Yay yay yay!!!!!

Brittyns Projcet!

Brittyn's project was eatable....who doesn't love that! She got a donut maker for Christmas and was dieing to test it out! She is turning into a great little cook!!

She got real creative with the decorating! I love that she has an interest in cooking...I taught myself once I was married and I'm not sure that was the brightest thing ever.I should'a learned sooner for sure! Great job kiddo...your doing awesome!

Robbies Project

This is what goes on at my house.....my 7yr old son learning to work a blow torch!!! Scary scary....I am afraid for his teenage years! He had got a "make your on tool box" set for Christmas and once put together the thought it would be cool to blow torch it! Yikes....boys!
He was so so proud of himself...he did a fantastic job!

My first blog post for 2011...I have been so off base and have not kept up! Behind a whole month of memories!

The Barnes crew is always so nice to host the new years eve party...among almost everything else. The annual Taco night. JD and Jenn go all out making hundreds of tacos and lots of yummy things. This years hit to kill time was "just dance" on the Wii on the enormous TV. If you have not played this game it it a must! So so much fun!! Here are many pictures from the fun night. Love all your faces!!

 The "Hackwell ladies crew"
