Here she is.....the USS New York.

Here she is! The USS New York. Made from the World Trade Centre ! USS New York was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the World Trade Centre . It is the fifth in a new class of warship - designed for missions that include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft. Steel from the World Trade Centre was melted down. When it was poured into the moulds on Sept 9, 2003, "those big rough steelworkers treated it with total reverence," recalled Navy Capt. Kevin Wensing. "It was a spiritual moment for everybody there." Junior Chavers, foundry operations manager, said that when the Trade Centre steel first arrived, he touched it with his hand and the hair his neck stood up. "It had a big meaning to it for all of us," he said. "They knocked us down. They can't keep us down. We're going to be back." The ship's motto? Never Forget.
I got this in an email form Trent a few days ago. I thought it was amazing and wanted to share.

Dreaming of warmer days....

This just goes to show that not only do I dream of warmer weather but Brittyn does as well. She knows me all to well. How I would love to spend my days....under the sun laying on warm sand. Of course there must be the palm trees. My favorite. Brittyn drew this me the other day and could not resist. I am going to frame it and hang it in my bedroom. It will match perfectly. If I could I would live there. One day.....maybe.

Celine Dion

I have to say that this was the BEST concert I have ever been to!! Trust me I have been to my share. What a amazing show and lady. I laughed the entire time at her cute personality. Going into the Energy Solutions Arena a usher took our (me and my sisters) picture. Sweet guy saying we could not get any prettier. Awww....how nice of him. Looking at the picture he took is scary! I look like a fat cow!! Really, I had on a big scarf and Jenn's purse is hanging down in front of me. I look huge! Any who...my story. This oh so very nice usher found us a couple songs into the concert and I was sitting on the end and he asked me how may was in my party....6 I said and a few minutes later he returned with much much better tickets!!! HOLY CRAP!! We all were so excited and ran until we got to them. I wish I new this nice mans name. We had such a fabulous time and loved the fact that I got to share it with my fab fab sisters and bestest friends!! It's a night I will hopefully never forget. You all should see this women perform!! Amazing does not even cut it! I take my camera everywhere...I really do. This one time I didn't thinking that they would not let them in. Sadly....they did and I could have got the best pictures. Kind of bummed. Oh well...these are a few I stole from my sister's.

The big fat ugly cow picture!! Jill, Julie, Janeen, Jenn and myself.

Our new addition.....

Yes....it is a dog! Yes....I am wondering what the hell I just did!?! He is a mini dachshund so he won't get over 13 pounds. We have named him "Chilie." Trent made a deal with Robbie a couple months back and Robbie followed through with his part and so did Trent. The debate of what kid of dog to get was hard. Really hard! I am re-thinking our choice. Dachshunds have long backs and so the have to be held a certain way and are not suppose to jump off high stuff....whatever! I am stressing out about. So far he has been really good just cried the first night. Of course we have had some accidents. That's a given. I just worry about my Beau sitting on him or something. If he gets hurt Trent says he wont pay to have him fixed...which is fine. Time will tell.

So....he for sure is getting love! I just hope he and myself survive!

Paino Recital

Brittyn had her first piano recital on Saturday. She was perfect. She played 2 songs and had them both memorized. She was sick and not feeling great at all but you would have never known it. I hope she sticks with this because she is a natural. I love you girl.....great job!

How bad is it when....

Robbie has been asking to go to Burger King for lunch and I promised that we could one day soon. Today was that oh so great day and we decided get it to go and bring it home. I am not one for play places...sad for my kids. I don't know if it's snotty kids, dirty tables...I can't say. I just don't do them. So, I order his food and I'm thinking Beau will have a fit if he doesn't get some of Robbie's food. I was not going to get me anything as I am trying really hard to reach my goal. Anyway, that is another post in it's self. So I decided to get another kids meal and just give Beau some of it...right? I got the apples and chicken. I start slowly giving him the apples one at a time as I head back home. Well, by the time I reached my house the entire thing was gone!!! Whole bag of apples and 4 pieces of chicken!! Holy cow!!! I should not have to get a meal for my 20 month old. I am stunned that he actually ate the whole thing. I know he is an eater but HECK....the boy is a pig! Trent has this thing and says Beau is going to be a competition eater when he grows up. Could he be right? Ewwww!! I don't over feed this child either. Hopefully it is just a growth spurt.
