Christmas with the Hackwell's

Awwww!!! So much to say! But am not. Lol...it was a great Christmas at my parents house! They are such great sports to have a whole crazy house full!! They are so welcoming and love us all! Much chaos! Many kids, great food, lots of noise, tons of wrapping paper, happy faces, sleeping sister, brother in law in the ER with stitches in his head! Really! Growing up some of my most special and favorite memories are with my cousins spent at Christmas...I love that my kids can have the same! We are so blessed! It was a wonderful day! Love my family so so much and am so glad we are all part of each others lives! Hugs and kisses to each of you!

Christmas Chaos!

There is nothing like Christmas morning! My kids were fabulous this year...meaning...no whining, fighting, crying! Made me extremely happy! We had a few visitors as well that we were happy to see and feed! Everyone got what they wanted and then some! Beau would not even get out of his car to open more...oh well! Snuggies, DSI, Playmobiles, Leapsters, cars...yes...and even a toilet! I hope you all had a fabulous morning full of chaos! Kids on Christmas are priceless! A few days before Christmas Robbie ask me if he could get something for Santa. WOW! I had never even thought about that! Ok...I said...like what? PENCILS! Lol...sure! Why? So he can check his list! FABULOUS!!! I love my sweet boy....he always seems to amaze me!

Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve...Trent and I decided long ago that we would not chase back and forth to families house on the holidays...to much for us and the kids! We want to enjoy our holiday and not be in the car a big part of it. So, Christmas Eve we go to Trent's side and Christmas day we spend with my side and so far it has worked out wonderfully! Family, good food, crazy fun wonderful chaos!! What more can you ask for on your holidays!? Randi is always the one who gets stuck hosting....sorry chick! But she is a fabulous hostess. I love T's family...they are so good to me and have always taken me in as one of them from the get go. They are so fun to be around and I treasure each one of them!

Robster lost a tooth!

About a week ago my Robbie noticed a wiggly tooth...his first wiggly tooth! YAY! He was so excited! Yesterday was that OH SO FUN day when it decided to fall out! Pulling apart Lego's with you teeth will for sure do that....he said the blood was making him not feel so good! Haha...he was so so excited today with a priceless face as he found money under his pillow!

The meanest mom ever!

Last Monday I had had enough!!! We love Chili but at the same time not like he should be. I felt bad....because I could not let him off his leash or he would pee somewhere. He once was greatly potty trained. I was cleaning it up sometimes 4 to 5 times a day. That is so not my cup of tea! He needed more attention then we could give. Sadly....I have warned the kids for the last few months about giving him away....and that is just what I did! I had a crazy moment and snapped! They cried that night but where fine the next morning.....hummmm!! He was super cute and full of energy. He was a great addition while it lasted but I was bound to loose it one day. So, I have got my house completely back! No more peeing!! No more crewing!!! Yay! This was big for me to do and felt horrible but at the same time I knew I was doing the right thing. We love you Chili dog! This was taken the night he left.
Am I the worst mother ever??

My baby...and his hair!

Sadly it is time....I LOVE HIS HAIR, but I promised T that after family pictures I would cut it. It was getting to the point where he was brushing out of his eyes. His bed hair was out of control and he hates it brushed! Today was that so so hard day and nobody seems to get it. I am sad. T thinks I am crazy and that it is no big deal....my baby is no longer my baby....I don't know what it is about a first haircut! Yes, he is 2 1/2 and this is his first! I was so afraid that the curls would be gone! These one in the tub were taken last night...before.
Adventuring to Cookie Cutters....
So far so good....
Hummmm?????
See what I mean?! Those curls are killer!

Ok...here comes the tears and they didn't stop! I am one of those moms with the out of control child!! Once the lady was done we got him out and he laid on the floor in his pile of hair. Then rolled around trying to prove a point or something!
After.....have to say I am having a really hard time. He looks so different to me and I am not loving it! The curl is gone!!!! I am hoping that once I wash it and get the stuff out that she had put in it that maybe it will bounce back! Cross your fingers please!!! My Beau the big boy!

This years Christmas card!

Our 2009 Christmas card....I got them all mailed yesterday!! I was so proud of myself that they even got done this week....in the mist of four barfing people in the house and paint everywhere!

Merry Christmas and Happy New year!! From my crazy bunch to yours!!! Love you all!

My BIG project!

Trent and I where given this cabinet because his mother Laurie no longer had room for it. I have always loved it but it was just never really my style until now!! Well...almost 12 years now and I finally got the wild hair to take it on and re-finish it. After lots of primer, paint (I LOVE BROWN) and some new nobs it looks completely different!! I am so happy with it!! I ended up painting a few other things while I was at it! BEFORE....... AFTER.....
And the few other things that the paint brush hit!

Surprisingly after a week and a half a paint and stuff all over my dinning room my Beau did not touch a thing!! Sweet!! But in the mist of me moving things around I broke my dinning room table...yes! I am dumb! The leg snapped right off! Trent has it upside down fixing it. Whoops!! My bad!

Thanksgiving 2009

We do the "every other year thing" so this year it was spent at the Shaw's. Wonderful, fun day with friends and family....oh yes, and tons of food! Trent's family is so much fun...I love them all! I truly did miss my own though. It's hard to know that they are miles away all together minus my crew. I did see a few of my sister's that morning at the race and ended up seeing them much later that night as we all ventured out to shop among all the crazy people! So here are just a handful of picks... Trent and Bella...this is so rare...she doesn't like men...including her uncle who loves her dearly. But she feel asleep in his lap. So sweet!
The kiddos watching a movie!
Laurie and MaryAnn did an activity for all the girls which was really fun and much appreciated. We made beaded watches that are oh so pretty!
Brittyn with her great grandma Kelly.
My boys...
Brittyn and Bella her only girl cousin on this side of the family and they are 8 years apart.
Laurie (Trent's mom) her sisters Martha and Linda with their mom Berniece.
Later that night me and a few of my crazy sisters hit the mall's and did some shopping. Black Friday is so fun! I love watching all the people...seriously the best people watching day ever! It is such a rush...if you like that short of thing!
As it being Thanksgiving here is a small list of things I am most grateful for! Really I could go on and on...but this post is already a little long.
1. My sweet, amazing children who inspire me to be a better person and letting me be their mother.
2. The love of my life T, who I adore completely!
3. My amazing sister's and brothers! They are my greatest friends!
4. My parents...they are the best! Unconditional love!
5. My Heavenly Father and his un-dieing devotion.
6. Being able to be a mother....nothing better!
7. T's family for loving me and taking me in as one of their own.
8. My close friends...you know who you are!
9. For a husband with a stable job who would do anything to provide for us.
10. Freedom....my country and all the wonderful people who protect us!
